What is EVA?

Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) is a flexible, rubber-like thermoplastic known for its excellent impact resistance, softness, and elasticity. It offers good clarity, low-temperature toughness, and strong adhesion properties, making it a versatile material for a wide range of applications. The vinyl acetate (VA) content influences the flexibility and transparency of the material, with higher VA levels providing greater softness and elasticity.

Common Applications

EVA is widely used in footwear, packaging, adhesives, and industrial applications. It is commonly found in foam sheets, hot-melt adhesives, sports equipment, cable insulation, and medical tubing. Its flexibility and resilience make it an ideal alternative to rubber in applications requiring cushioning, sealing, or shock absorption.

Our EVA Products

We stock prime natural EVA grades suitable for injection moulding and other processing methods, including:

MFI 2, VA 9.5

A firmer grade with good impact resistance and toughness.

MFI 20, VA 20

A softer, more flexible grade with enhanced elasticity and processability.

Powdered EVA (MFI 20, VA 20)

Pulverised to 1200μm, packed in 20kg bags.

We can also source specialist additive masterbatches for UV protection, anti-static properties, and flame retardancy.
