What is Masterbatch?

Masterbatch is a concentrated mixture of pigments or additives encapsulated in a carrier resin, used to colour plastics or enhance their properties. It provides a cost-effective and consistent way to achieve uniform colour distribution, UV resistance, or other functional enhancements in injection moulding or extrusion.

Common Applications

Masterbatch is widely used in packaging, automotive, consumer goods, and industrial applications. It is a common method of colouring films, containers, cables, and moulded components requiring precise and repeatable colour control. Specialised additive masterbatches can also provide improved UV resistance, flame retardancy, or enhanced mechanical properties.

Our Masterbatch Products

We stock a range of high-quality and economy masterbatches for injection moulding and extrusion, including:

Black Masterbatch

Available in high-quality and economy grades to suit different performance and cost requirements.

White Masterbatch

40% titanium dioxide (TiO₂) content, offering excellent opacity and brightness.

Bespoke Coloured Masterbatch

We provide a colour-matching service to create custom shades tailored to your exact requirements. We can formulate universal masterbatch for use across multiple polymer types or polymer-specific masterbatch for enhanced compatibility and performance.
