What is HDPE?

HDPE is a strong, durable thermoplastic with excellent impact resistance, chemical stability, and moisture barrier properties. It has a higher density than LDPE, resulting in improved stiffness and tensile strength while maintaining good processability. HDPE is widely used in applications requiring toughness, rigidity, and resistance to environmental stress cracking.

Common Applications

HDPE is commonly used in rigid packaging, including bottles and containers, as well as in industrial products like pipes, crates, and storage tanks. It is also found in automotive components, construction materials, and durable consumer goods. Injection moulding grades are particularly suited for producing robust, high-performance parts.

Our HDPE Products

We stock a range of HDPE grades suitable for injection moulding and other processing methods, including:

Prime HDPE

Natural grades with MFI 8 and MFI 24, packed in 25kg bags.

Reprocessed HDPE

Black moulding grade with MFI 8, available in big bags.

We can also source grades with enhanced UV stability as well as blow moulding and extrusion grades.
